i've always wanted to do a trash the dress shoot, so when heather contacted me i couldn't wait for the opportunity. little did i know there would be a twist to this session. heather's friend...barbie...also wanted to join in on the fun.
i was little apprehensive about how this was gonna go but much to my surprise, shooting 2 brides/friends...was the best that could have ever happened. they took turns in front of the camera, playing off of each others ideas.
barbie/heather...thank you for making my first trash the dress shoot a great one. you both were awesome. hope you like this sneak peek...

Awesome job sweetie.
Okay that was just very cool! I really liked the ones with all the archway thingies behind her. But I'll tell ya, those were all very cool. How can you choose from those John? I LOVE the one with the santa hat/beer bottles. And the one right below it.
Makes me want to get my dress out of the box it's preserved in and do a shoot! lol...but I doubt I could wiggle myself into that dress anymore :o( That was back in the day, b4 3 kids. Ahhh, I loved that dress.
Some of those were very sexy too. Tastefully sexy I mean. Very Very nice work on this shoot. Did they actually really trash the dress? I would have soooo trashed my dress. lol
thanks sheila. when you're ready....give me a call :)
i think i may have inspired sara to do the same. that shoot...IF it happens...will be amazing.
the dresses never literally got trashed. both brides planned to have them cleaned after the shoot :)
They look so good. I am so glad we did this. It was so much fun I may have to do another one..lol
John - you have such a wonderful talent and eye for beauty and are a natural at creating very interesting scenes. It's impressive how seem to capture the soul and warmth of your subject.
John- Thank you so much! Our pictures are amazing!!! What a terrific job! I can't believe some of them are me! lol Thank you again and I will for sure pass your name along!
Wow. That was a big post! You found some really GREAT locations!!!! Nice job.
Great shots John. Love the idea of having the bride posed several times in the same shot.
thanks pete. both barbie & heather should get the true credit here. they needed little to no direction.
